As I walk down the hall ways of the school every day, I can hear the chatter of eager minds, the shouts of excitement from the students’ corner, the thump of dancers’ feet and the sound of melodious voices harmonizing. We, with a different perceptive allow our students to relish their childhood.
 

Behind every school and every teacher is a set of related beliefs – a philosophy of education- that influences what and how students are taught. Technology is a double edged sword and while we are eager to maximize the obvious benefits, we are treading cautiously and mindfully.
 

Children need a supportive environment at home and at school. They need to set goals, within their reach until they gain confidence and determination. At OPS, our approach to learning is child centric, encouraging activity based learning and inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free enquiry. We are constantly improving our teaching methodology so that it turns learning into a combination of class room study, research and scientific discovery. Children have an inbuilt drive for discovery and we encourage our students to observe the world and to feel a sense of wonder.
 

If a plant is carefully nurtured by a gardener, it will  produce better fruit. In same way teaching is like gardening and children are like plants. I believe the roots of a great classroom are created by nurturing and cultivating a love of learning and classroom to be the place where the children can flourish and grow. 
 

I am happy to declare that while there is a wealth of information readily available at the click of a mouse, the teacher can never be made redundant.OPS is a proud mission driven community providing world class education, celebrating the fact that each student is different, as a person and as a learner. We believe that powerful learning and teaching occurs under a shared spirit of parents, professional administrators, committed teachers and motivated students.
 

We welcome the parents to join hands with us in this endeavour to prepare our students to face the challenges of life. We are empowered by unwavering trust that parents have in our institution and in this knowledge lies our strength and inspiration. Remember when we struggle, it is the struggle itself that makes us nobler and our life more meaningful. Just as our mother Earth gives us more and more, OPS enables our learners to give and get a little more of learning.
 

The school produces disciplined, competent, technologically proficient life-long learners, who will embrace all cultures and make a positive society, where children are encouraged to say “I see it, I get it, I can do it”.
 

I would also thank the parents of our students for having bestowed their faith and confidence in us.
