OPS celebrated World Environment Day on June 5 with great enthusiasm and fervor! The day was packed with exciting activities aimed at raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices.

Morning Assembly Kick-Off
The celebration kicked off with a special assembly where our passionate students and dedicated science teachers spoke about the importance of protecting our planet. The school Principal delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the need for everyone to take responsibility for preserving the environment.

Creative Activities Galore
Our students dove into a range of creative activities, including:
- Poster Making
- Drawing and Coloring
- Sign Board Making
- Badge Making
- Just-a-Minute

Each activity focused on environmental themes, showcasing the students' creativity and commitment to the cause. The posters and slogans they created highlighted the importance of reducing pollution, recycling waste, and conserving natural resources.

Tree Plantation Drive

A highlight of the day was the tree plantation drive. Our esteemed School Chairman and CEO, Mr. A.P.P. Joshi, Principal Ms. Suma Achuthan, Secretary Mr. Narayanan Mullappilly, along with teachers and students, planted saplings around the school campus. This activity not only beautified our school but also contributed to the fight against climate change.

Conclusion

The World Environment Day celebration at OPS was a fantastic success! We hope our efforts inspire more people to take action towards protecting the environment. Let’s continue to make a positive impact, one green step at a time!
